"Learn-to-Row" Beginner Lesson Program

Our Learn to Row sessions are over for 2008. We introduced 30 people to the sport in 5 weekend intensive sessions, starting with a 2 hour session at the Colorado Athletic Club learning the basics of the stroke on the erg. As one of the participants said, "There's a lot of technique involved. It's not just rowing a boat!" Saturday and Sunday, going from 6:30 AM until noon, participants got in the boat with the help of RMRC volunteers. Following instructions from coaches Jim Erwin, Greg Fletcher and Rand Case (Allen Edwards and Everett Schneider, Coxswains) by Sunday, the new rowers were confidently speeding around the reservoir.

Watch this space starting next March for information on the 2009 season.
